Politicians Say Bloomberg Study Will Be Biased Against Living Wage

Adam Lisberg at the Daily News reports that three politicians have charged that a living wage study commissioned by Mayor Bloomberg will be biased against the idea of the living wage. Three members of the Industrial Agency Board -- Comptroller John Liu, Bronx BP Ruben Diaz, and Manhattan BP Scott Stringer -- will ask the board to rescind their June decision to commission a $1 million study on the living wage. They charge that "the study will be subject to the biases of a study team that is being chosen by the mayor's office."

  1. Bias?

So, where are the jobs? It seems to me that it is most beneficial to these politicians to keep people poor and uneducated. The jobless will do what...look to their BP (big daddy) for "hope"?

Come on, man. This is garbage. A study on the living wage? Give that money to a soup kitchen or food pantry...it will be put to better use feeding the jobless hungry than on a study that will only prove that PEOPLE NEED TO WORK.

  2. Ruben Diaz Junior is the best argument yet for asking the next Charter Revision Commission to eliminate the useless and wasteful post of borough president.

  3. If Bronx Boro Prez Diaz has his way, the new design of the seal of our borough will consist of a chain of welfare checks

  4. People are too dependent on big Daddy gov't,unemployment checks, medicaid = called welfare in my days, so why the hell should they make an effort to look for work? We need to stop spending what we don't have, put people back to work. The United States has rebuild China, they are producing all our products and taken our jobs. We used to be a superpower nation now we're an embarrassment of a nation.

  5. Most politicians are lawyers..... as far as I am concerned, Politicians are excreted not born! People have lost all faith in the Goverment.... they're elected to represent their constiuents and once in the roost they get too confortable and forget all their promises. People have got to get more involved and demand accountability from their elected officials. Hurray, for The Tea Party! Also the FAIR TAX proposition; sounds good to me..... everyone and I mean everyone paying their fair part of taxes. Pelosi's going out gift to us was another 5 trillion dollars added to the nation's deficit. Thank you Nancy! our
Grandchildren will not be able to enjoy the "American Dream"
