Here is this week's Bronx political round-up by Bob Kappstatter of the Daily News where he talks of feeling a little blue about the loss of Pedro Espada. As a writer, where will he go to get such rich stories of self-dealing, corruption, and all-around chutzpa by a politician? But don't despair Bob, it won't be long before another member of our great Bronx delegation picks up where Pedro left off, and you will be happy again!
There's plenty of scum left in Bronx political circles for Mr. Kappstatter to write about for years to come.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Kappstatter should dig a little bit to see what nefarious things Senator Espada's Bronx colleagues have been up to. Wasn't there an FBI investigation of the BP's daddy? What ever happened with that?
ReplyDeleteAzi Paybarah, Celeste Katz, and Elizabeth Benjamin are all in the same boat as Bob Kappstatter on this one.

ReplyDeletewhat boat is that?

To Azi: What I meant was that all of our city's best political bloggers have lost an "good friend" in Pedro Espada. He was the gift that kept on giving. But, as one of the earlier bloggers said, there's plenty of scum left in Bronx political circles for you to focus on.
ReplyDeleteAnd the prize for Rodent of the Year goes to The Honorable Pedro Espada, Jr., New York State Senate Majority Leader and Vice President Pro Tempore for Urban Policy.
