James Fergusson over at Bronx News Network does a nice job in this article profiling Bronx Councilwoman Helen Foster who holds the fine distinction of having the worst attendance record in the City Council. She showed up for work just 61.7 percent of the time in 2010. What makes this especially galling is that the Council actually meets so infrequently -- just a handful of times per month. Not bad for a job that is part-time and pays $112,000. Almost makes you long for the days of Maria Baez.
In a crowded field of lowlifes, at least she found a way to stand out. So Councilwoman Foster, you go girl!!

ReplyDeleteHelen D. Foster's dismal attendance record in the City Council is proof that she is just another Bronx legislator who is lazy, complacent and forgettable.
ReplyDeleteShe has had that distinction for a number of years now. Her lack of attendance is a disservice to her constituents. Just recently was she was heckled at a community board 4 meeting for her lack of attention on a new homeless shelter in her district.
ReplyDeletePersonally I wish that all Politicians and their ilk would stay home forever. The less they attend, the less mischief they can get into. This goes for all Democrats and Republicans, including the Wall Street dominated buffoons that call themselves Tea Partiers.
