Bronx Political Chatter is a no holds-barred, irreverent look at politics in the Bronx. Bronxites have long lacked an independent forum to express our views about local politics and politicians. Bronx Political Chatter is a place for you to openly express your views, ideas, criticisms and suggestions, and to make our elected officials more accountable for the decisions they make. So this is your turn to be heard.

Another Pol Helps His Friends
The NY Post recently reported that Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat is following in the footsteps of a lot of his follow pols by providing funding to a not for profit that keeps many of his good friends employed. And this guy wants us to trust him and put him in the State Senate? His opponent in that race, Mark Levine, has hit him hard on this one.

Congrats on Bronx < P C > --
ReplyDeletebut let's watch out for that < P C > !
Espaillat's name is so easily confused with Espada. If you put them together into the teleportation system from movie The Fly, they could combine into one Brundlefly-like creature called Espaillada. The only thing scarier is combining all the senators and assembly members into a single dysfunctional self-serving beast named the New York State Legislature. Truly disgusting.
ReplyDeleteWow, nepotism AND cronyism!
ReplyDeleteThe New York Post says the nonprofit employed Espaillat's sister-in-law, his local Democratic district leader, and several consultants who also worked in his political campaigns.
