Seabrook Circus Begins Again

Part 2 of Councilman Larry Seabrook's corruption trial is under way and it already has a lot of the craziness we saw in the first trial, which ended in a mistrial. Seabrook, who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a not-for-profit, started off by insisting that prosecutors call him "Councilman Seabrook” or “Mr. Seabrook” but never just “Seabrook.” A Daily News editorial suggests maybe he should be called "Your Majesty" or just plain "guilty".

    1. Nice list. If you add photos of them it would be a real rogues' gallery!

One gets the sense that the New York State Legislature is a bicameral hive of criminality.

    3. You forgot to add disgraced Queens ex-Assemblyman JIMMY MENG to the list. Mr. Meng (who's daughter is an assemblywoman running for Congress) was arrested by the feds and charged with wire fraud.

The newspapers say that Mr. Meng hadn’t even left the Brooklyn Federal Courthouse when he dialed up the snitch who burned him, likely violating the terms of his bail in the process.
